On April 11th, a conference titled "Advancing Peace: Implementing Strategies to Strengthen Trust between Countries" took place, during which the Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, John McGregor, highlighted the organization's support for Turkmenistan's efforts to popularize the literary legacy of Mahdumkuli Fragi. This was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
Last year, the UNESCO Executive Board included the manuscript collections of Mahdumkuli Fragi in the international "Memory of the World" list. Additionally, the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Mahdumkuli's birth was included in the List of Commemorative Dates for joint celebration with UNESCO in 2024-2025.
The TURKSOY Organization declared 2024 as the "Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World, Mahdumkuli Fragi" and planned a series of international events in connection with this significant occasion.
