Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov welcomed the new representative of UNICEF in Kyrgyzstan, Samman Jung Tapa. The announcement was made by the government's press service.
Edil Baisalov congratulated Samman Jung Tapa on his appointment, wishing him continued success. He emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic highly appreciates the work of UNICEF in implementing projects and programs in the fields of social policy, protection of children's rights and interests.
The Deputy Head of the Cabinet expressed gratitude to UNICEF for their assistance in repatriating children from conflict zones in Iraq and Syria. He also highlighted the importance of the organization's support in enhancing the capacity of social workers dealing with children in difficult life situations, children of labor migrants, children without parental care, and children with disabilities, as well as in the rehabilitation of repatriated children.
Both parties discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, emphasizing the importance of further effective cooperation and the implementation of joint projects to improve the quality of life for children.
The representative of UNICEF in the Kyrgyz Republic expressed readiness for further fruitful work in protecting and supporting children.
