In the period from April 30 to May 1, a seminar on the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action was held in Ashgabat by the Institute of State, Law, and Democracy. These documents were adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women. The event was reported by the online publication "Vestiabad."
The participants of the seminar included representatives from ministries, state and public organizations that are part of the working group of the Interdepartmental Commission on Ensuring the Implementation of Turkmenistan's International Obligations in the Field of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
During the seminar, issues of gender equality and expanding opportunities for women in all areas of life in Turkmenistan were discussed in preparation for the thirtieth anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women in 2025.
