The Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abdyldas Maldybaev will host the "Masterpieces of World Ballet" festival from April 18 to 20. The event is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic and laureate of the State Prize of the USSR Uran Sarbagishev.

The festival will feature ballet performances of "Spartacus" by A. Khachaturian, "Swan Lake" by P. Tchaikovsky, and a gala concert with the participation of ballet stars from Kazakhstan, Russia, Japan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The aim of the event is to strengthen friendship between countries, bring more attention to the art of ballet, and preserve the heritage of Kyrgyz classical ballet. It will provide a unique platform for ballet artists from different countries to exchange their art, meet colleagues and the audience, facilitating mutual enrichment of experience and offering ballet enthusiasts a positive emotional experience from the performances.

There are plans to establish the National Uran Sarbagishev Prize for talented young ballet artists. The festival is supported by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakh philanthropist Adam Kapanov, and classical art enthusiasts in Kyrgyzstan.
