Security Measures Urged for Tajik Migrants After Moscow Terror Attack

in Society / Tajikistan - by

In some mosques in Tajikistan, prayers were offered for Tajik migrants during Friday prayers, urging them to be cautious and not succumb to temptation.

The Mufti of Tajikistan, Saidmukarram Abdulqodirzoda, called on migrants to "be careful abroad and not get involved in any intrigues or expose themselves to harm" during Friday prayers at the Central Mosque in Dushanbe.

The Imam of the capital's mosque, known as the Abdullo Nuri Mosque, also spoke about patriotism and love for the country being based on faith, condemning all forms of violence, especially in the name of religion.

These appeals come after the terrorist attack at the "Crocus City Hall" in Krasnogorsk and the arrest of several Tajik citizens suspected of belonging to the extremist group "Islamic State."

On the evening of March 22, a group of armed terrorists stormed the "Crocus City Hall" concert hall in Krasnogorsk, resulting in a tragic loss of life and injuries. The FSB reported the arrest of 11 individuals, with some suspected of mass murder. Subsequent arrests have been made, including individuals accused of providing support to the attackers.

Recently, another suspect was detained for alleged involvement in financing terrorists. Additionally, authorities in Tajikistan have detained at least 9 individuals in connection with the Moscow attack.

The ongoing investigation aims to determine the extent of their involvement and whether they were part of a larger network planning attacks in Russia and Tajikistan. The investigation continues to unfold, seeking answers to these critical questions.
