Moscow authorities have recommended Muslims to "perform the festive prayer at home" on the day marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, as reported by the Telegram channel "Ostorozhno, novosti" and Gazeta.ru.

Referring to a document from the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of Moscow, the department has sent a letter to the capital's prefects to inform Muslims about the current restrictions in the city during the Muslim holiday.

The department has asked to disseminate information to Muslims, including through employers, about online broadcasts of religious services. Special attention is requested for migrants arriving from Central Asia.

According to the department's press service, the recommendations are related to the terrorist attack at "Crocus City Hall".

In previous years, the festive prayer was held at six locations in Moscow.

The first day of fasting began on March 11.

The Eid al-Fitr holiday is expected to fall on April 10, but the Council of Ulema will determine the exact date for its celebration in Tajikistan tomorrow.
