In the Soviet District Court of Novosibirsk, the verdict was announced in the criminal case against Khushnud Khamroyev. He was found guilty of the murder of a 17-year-old girl whom he suspected of infidelity. Khamroyev was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a high-security correctional colony, as reported by the General Jurisdiction Courts of the Novosibirsk Region.

Additionally, the court ruled in favor of the victims in a civil lawsuit and ordered the convicted to pay a material damage of 400,000 rubles and compensation for moral harm in the amount of 2,500,000 rubles.

The tragedy occurred in the Nizhnyaya Yeltsovka microdistrict on the night of July 27, 2022, and was captured by a dashcam. The footage shows the girl trying to escape from the man, but he caught up with her, knocked her to the ground, and stabbed her.

The gruesome act unfolded in front of a car driver and another bystander who hesitated to approach the armed criminal. After the murder, the perpetrator fled, and the victim passed away before the arrival of emergency services.

Friends of the girl revealed that she had been in a relationship with her killer for about two years, but they had broken up one or two months before the tragedy. According to them, jealousy was the motive behind the brutal attack. Days before the murder, the boyfriend had declared that his beloved would either be his or no one else's.
