VozhaOmuz: New Language Learning App Launched in Tajikistan

in Society / Tajikistan - by

At the end of February, a new mobile application called VozhaOmuz was launched in the Tajik Internet segment for learning foreign languages. The application was developed by a group of enthusiasts - teachers and programmers from ZabonOmuz and DonishSoft.

Currently, the app offers two languages for learning - English and Russian, which can be studied in Tajik or Russian, according to the user's preference. VozhaOmuz caters to both beginners and advanced learners.

Beginners can start with easy categories like "Food" and "People" for English or Russian. Advanced learners can delve into more complex categories such as "State and Society" or "Computers and Communication."

The app provides various tools for learning words, including audio recordings for pronunciation, flashcards with pictures and translations, and games to assemble words or find the correct translation. Users can test their knowledge through quizzes and track their progress in the "Statistics" and "Mistakes" sections.

VozhaOmuz has its own in-app currency called coins, which can unlock new categories and words. Coins can be earned by learning words, inviting friends, winning battles, or purchased.

Users have compared VozhaOmuz to the popular app Duolingo, noting similarities but also highlighting differences. One key distinction is the ability to create custom lessons or categories based on the user's preferences.

The developers promise that the price of the paid version will be reasonable to cover the team's expenses and ensure the project's continued development.

The VozhaOmuz team has ambitious plans for the app's future, including releasing a second version for Central Asia in about three months. The new version will allow learning foreign languages in the native languages of Central Asian countries and introduce German and Chinese languages.

Another innovative feature will be the ability to exchange coins for mobile data through local operators, providing users with free internet access while learning new words.

VozhaOmuz is currently available for download on Google Play, with an App Store version coming soon.

Stay tuned for more updates on VozhaOmuz's developments and features.
