Every winter in Tajikistan sees tragic deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning due to improper use of heating devices. This year, despite a mild winter, 15 people fell victim to this silent killer due to electricity shortages. The most recent incident occurred on the night of March 5th, when three family members perished in Turushbog village.
Another heartbreaking event took place on March 2nd, claiming the lives of Abdurasul, Zuhro, and Zaynab Uzokov, aged 4, 3, and 1, on Khairullo Mirzo Street in Shohmansur district. The preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was caused by a faulty radiator. These incidents serve as a tragic reminder of the importance of proper heating safety measures to prevent such avoidable losses of life.
