Turkmenistan's Humanitarian Cooperation Strengthening Global Reputation

in Politics / Turkmenistan - by

Cooperation in the humanitarian field is one of Turkmenistan's key priorities in foreign policy. The online publication "Vestiabad" reports, citing the website "Great Asia," which released a significant video on the country's humanitarian mission.

It is noted that the course towards humanitarian cooperation was set by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and is currently successfully implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation provides targeted assistance to children in need of care, including those from underprivileged families.

In 2020, humanitarian aid was sent to Afghanistan, in 2023 the country supported and assisted families affected by a massive earthquake in Turkey. In 2024, Turkmenistan provided humanitarian assistance in the form of free natural gas supplies to neighboring Kyrgyzstan following an accident at the Bishkek Thermal Power Plant.

Humanitarian support enhances Turkmenistan's authority globally and embodies the ideals of humanism and justice, which are part of the traditions of the Turkmen people.
