Russian Presidential Election Results Announced in Turkmenistan

The results of the voting for the President of the Russian Federation, held on March 17, 2024, in Turkmenistan have been announced, as reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal."

Russian citizens residing in Turkmenistan participated in the election. There were 5 polling stations set up in Turkmenistan for them. A total of 2751 Russian citizens took part in the voting, with 2636 of them casting their votes for the incumbent President Vladimir Putin, representing 95.82%.

Nikolay Kharitonov came in second with 41 votes, followed by Vladislav Davankov with 32 votes, and Leonid Slutsky with 20 votes. First-time voters were presented with commemorative gifts.

The Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ivan Volynkin, expressed gratitude to the Turkmenistan authorities for their assistance in organizing and conducting the elections.
