On March 17, 2024, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Qatar, Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, met with the Minister of Culture of Qatar, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. The Turkmenistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the bilateral talks focused on enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries.
They also discussed the participation of Qatari delegations in international events celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, to be held in Turkmenistan and abroad.
