The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania, Annamammet Annaev, met with the Romanian Minister of Culture, Raluca Turcan, to discuss organizing joint cultural events. Romania expressed interest in participating in activities commemorating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen literary classic, Magtymguly Pyragy.
They also expressed a desire for cultural exchanges, mutual visits of creative groups, and establishing long-term museum cooperation between the two countries. Turkmenistan proposed holding Turkmen Culture Days in Romania in 2025 and erecting a monument to Magtymguly Pyragy in Romania.
