In Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, plans are underway to install a monument to the Belarusian poet, publicist, and playwright Yanka Kupala. This initiative was reported by the online publication "Turkmenportal."

As part of the events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, a park area named after him will be opened in Ashgabat, featuring a 60-meter monument to the poet. The park will also see the installation of monuments to prominent foreign literary classics, including the monument to the Belarusian literary figure Yanka Kupala.

The works of the Belarusian poet represent a true encyclopedia of the life of the Belarusian people. Kupala contributed to the formation of a unique poetic technique, introducing his own rhythms, intonations, and meanings. He defined the most promising paths along which Belarusian poetry continues to develop today.
