On March 25th, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with a delegation led by the Secretary-General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), Sultanbay Raev. The meeting aimed to discuss joint activities related to the declaration of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy.
The parties also explored measures to promote the works of Magtymguly Pyragy at the international level and discussed the cultural significance of Anau on international platforms such as the UN, TURKSOY, and UNESCO. The Turkmen side expressed its commitment to expanding comprehensive cooperation with TURKSOY.
