On March 27, a meeting took place between the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the presidents of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), David Haggerty, and the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), Yuri Polsky. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on the event.
The guests expressed interest in enhancing cooperation with Turkmenistan to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle. David Haggerty presented President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with a Certificate from the International Tennis Federation.
Turkmenistan has been a member of the International Tennis Federation since 1993 and the Asian Tennis Federation since 2001. The Turkmen side proposed utilizing the country's sports infrastructure for hosting international tournaments, training camps, and master classes.
