Today, on March 28, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held negotiations with a delegation from the Russian news agency "TASS," headed by the First Deputy Director General, Mikhail Gusman. The delegation arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in events marking the declaration of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on the meeting.
During the discussions, the parties addressed cooperation issues, including within the Memorandum providing for the exchange of news between the State News Agency of Turkmenistan and the Russian News Agency TASS.
In order to ensure timely coverage of events in the country, the possibility of accrediting a TASS journalist with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was considered. The parties agreed to maintain information exchange to promptly highlight the achievements of the two countries in the media space.
