President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdymukhamedov, held a meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit. The main focus of the country's foreign policy was highlighted as strengthening ties with neighboring countries based on friendship, respect, and trust.
Successful development of political and diplomatic dialogue was also emphasized. The importance of implementing joint projects in the energy and transportation sectors in the context of trade and economic cooperation was underscored. Furthermore, an agreement was reached to explore new avenues of cooperation in the fuel and energy complex.
Both parties noted the significance of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. Mutual visits, joint cultural events, Cultural Days, and exhibitions are regularly organized to enhance cultural ties.
