On April 2nd, a meeting took place between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ahmed Gurbanov, and the Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Reinhold Lopatka. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on this event.
During the negotiations, issues of energy security, transport connectivity, and environmental safety were discussed. The positive dynamics of cooperation in these areas were highlighted.
Both parties emphasized the intensification of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Office of the High Commissioner on National Minorities, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, and other OSCE structures.
The meeting also explored the possibility of expanding cooperation between the Turkmen Parliament and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
