On March 5th, a meeting took place between the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the Secretary General of the OSCE, Helga Schmid. The Turkmenistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on the event.
During the meeting, the President expressed the country's commitment to enhancing cooperation with international organizations, particularly with the OSCE. Turkmenistan also expressed confidence that the meeting between the Central Asian countries' environment ministers and the OSCE Secretary General would contribute to multilateral cooperation in the environmental sphere.

The energy sector was identified as a promising area for cooperation, with potential for interaction between Turkmenistan and the OSCE in the transportation sector.
