The 70th session of the UN World Tourism Organization's European Regional Commission took place in Tirana, Albania on April 8-9, with representatives from Turkmenistan's embassy in Germany participating. According to "TurkmenPortal," the meeting included the UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, tourism ministers, heads of diplomatic missions, and representatives of member countries.
During the session, the Commission's activities were discussed. The Albanian Prime Minister and the UNWTO Secretary-General highlighted the main directions for tourism development at regional and global levels.
As a member of the Commission, Turkmenistan contributes to the development of international tourism and the expansion of cooperation in this field.
