The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported that on April 11th, a conference titled "Promoting Peace: Implementing Strategies to Build Trust Between Countries" took place at the Institute of International Relations. During the event, it was highlighted that Turkmenistan's initiative led the UN General Assembly to declare 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. This declaration aims to facilitate the resolution of conflicts through political and diplomatic means and strengthen trust among nations.
The forum will continue with sessions focusing on topics such as "Political, Humanitarian, and Diplomatic Mechanisms for Conflict Resolution and Trust Building," "The Role of International Organizations in Supporting and Facilitating Peace Processes," and "Economic Aspects of Sustainable Development and Peace Support."
