On April 15, the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Astrakhan region, G. Ilamanov, met with the Governor of the Astrakhan region, I. Babushkin, at the administration building. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on this meeting.
During the meeting, the Governor received a copy of the Consular Exequatur from the Consul, wishing success in diplomatic activities aimed at expanding Turkmen-Russian relations. Igor Babushkin stated that Turkmenistan is one of the key foreign partners of the region.
Effective trade and economic relations as well as fruitful cultural and humanitarian ties have been established between the region and Turkmenistan. The high level of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation was acknowledged at the end of the meeting.
