During a meeting between the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Ahsan Wagan on April 18, a ceremony was held to present copies of credentials. The Turkmenistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on the event.
The Turkmenistan Foreign Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed readiness to support the development of Turkmen-Pakistani cooperation. The Pakistani side expressed interest in further enhancing bilateral cooperation in mutually beneficial areas. Positive dynamics in trade, economic, political, diplomatic, cultural, and humanitarian partnerships were noted.
The meeting also discussed the progress of the TAPI gas pipeline project, as well as issues related to the installation of power lines and fiber-optic communication lines for TAPI.
