The Human Rights Ombudsman of Turkmenistan, Y. Gurbannazarova, headed the national delegation at a seminar for Ombudsman Offices of Central Asian countries in Finland from April 15 to 19. The event was organized by the Council of Europe in collaboration with the Rule of Law Center at the University of Helsinki and the Ministry of Justice of Finland. The seminar aimed to study the experience of the Ombudsman's Office in Finland, create a platform for discussing current human rights issues, and facilitate the exchange of expertise between national human rights institutions of Central Asian countries and Finland on modern methods and practices of human rights protection.
Additionally, the delegation had a series of meetings and visits to the Finnish Parliament, the Ombudsman's Office, the Supreme Administrative Court, the Office of the Prosecutor General, and the Office of the Chancellor of Justice.
