On April 24 of the current year, a meeting took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy Michael Harms. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan noted that Germany is one of the country's key partners in the EU across various sectors. During the meeting, the effective partnership between the two states in the medical industry, agriculture, banking sector, transportation and communication, as well as trade and economic spheres, was highlighted.
The Turkmen side expressed readiness to consider specific proposals from the German Economic Committee for cooperation in the fields of advanced technologies, "green" energy, construction of inclusive and "smart" cities.
