President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, in Ashgabat. The news was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal."
During the meeting, the Turkmen side emphasized that the United Kingdom is one of Turkmenistan's key partners in Europe. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in political, trade and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres, particularly in trade, education, the oil and gas industry, agriculture, new technologies, climate change, and green economy initiatives.
The Turkmenistan President expressed gratitude for the support of initiatives within the United Nations framework, including the proposal to declare the year 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
