In the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, the 57th session of the UN Commission on Population and Development took place from April 29 to 30, with the participation of the Turkmen delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Myahri Byashimova. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported this.

The theme of the session was "Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and its contribution to the Agenda for the period up to 2030." A plenary meeting of the UN General Assembly was also held in honor of the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development.

During her speech, Myahri Byashimova shared the national experience of achieving objectives in accordance with the Program of Action of the ICPD+30, in the field of population, and put forward proposals for expanding multilateral cooperation in this area.
