On May 3, the first meeting of the Strategic Advisory Council "Turkmenistan-UN" took place in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The meeting program included two sessions. The first session focused on the preparation of the Framework Cooperation Program in the field of sustainable development between Turkmenistan and the UN (UNDAF) for the period 2026-2030. The second session addressed issues of sustainable development and the implementation of joint projects in this area.
Additionally, a Roadmap for the development of a new Framework Cooperation Program in the field of sustainable development between Turkmenistan and the UN for the period from 2026 to 2030 was approved. Projects in the fields of youth policy, digitalization, demography, "green" energy, and climate change were discussed.
