During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 10, 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov signed a Resolution approving the State Program for the comprehensive development of biotechnologies in Turkmenistan for 2024-2028. This information was reported by the online publication "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
The President's Resolution also includes a plan of activities for the implementation of the State Program, which will be carried out by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, relevant ministries, and departments. The main goal of approving the new document is to integrate science into the development of various sectors of the economy, stimulate the production of environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, import-substituting, and export-oriented products, and shape a competitive national bio-industry in the future.
