Mikhail Mishustin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, is expected to arrive in Ashgabat to participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which will take place on May 24, 2024. This was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal."
The meeting will focus on trade and economic cooperation within the Commonwealth, consideration of draft documents in the fields of energy and transport, as well as issues related to ecology and protection of intellectual property, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
It is planned to approve the Concept of Cooperation of CIS Member States in the field of energy until 2035 and an Action Plan for optimizing infrastructure and developing international transport corridors passing through the territories of CIS member states until 2030.
