Bilateral Talks: Turkmenistan and Japan Strengthen Ties Through Parliamentary Diplomacy

In the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on May 13, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan, Toshiaki Endo. During the meeting, the parties discussed the main directions of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan in political-diplomatic, cultural-humanitarian, and trade-economic spheres. The important role of inter-parliamentary cooperation in expanding partnership between the two countries was noted. In this regard, the significance of the activities of the Turkmen-Japanese parliamentary friendship group was emphasized.

Special attention was paid to the issues related to the organization of the first Summit of the countries participating in the Central Asia+Japan Dialogue. The meeting between Minister Rashid Meredov and Chairman Toshiaki Endo signifies the ongoing efforts to strengthen the bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Japan, highlighting the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering ties between nations.
