On May 14, 2024, a meeting took place at the Malacañang Palace in Manila between the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of the Philippines (with residence in Tokyo), Atadurdy Bayramov. In the course of their conversation, the Turkmen Ambassador conveyed greetings to the Philippine leadership from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdymukhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. The Ambassador expressed interest in fostering friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of the Philippines across various mutually beneficial areas.
