Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov paid a working visit to the construction site of the Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone in the Dashoguz velayat. The news was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".
During his visit, the diplomat was briefed on the progress of the Trade Center construction. A total of 2 border trade centers with a total area of 3 hectares each are planned to be built in the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan and the Dashoguz velayat of Turkmenistan.
Construction of the Trade Center in the Dashoguz velayat began in 2023, with completion scheduled for 2025. The Uzbek side commenced the construction of the free trade zone facilities in accordance with the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated February 28, 2024.
