On March 11, 2024, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, met with the rector of the Sukhumi State University, Zurab Khonelidze, to discuss the development of scientific and humanitarian cooperation. The meeting aimed at establishing direct inter-university dialogue and exchanging professional experiences and knowledge.
During the discussion, the Ambassador informed about the planned events to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, which will contribute to the popularization of the literary heritage of the Turkmen classic and the expansion of international cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The rector of the Sukhumi University highlighted the broad prospects for strengthening ties with Turkmenistan in the fields of science and education. This meeting signifies a positive step towards fostering collaboration and mutual understanding between the two nations.
