On March 18th at 8:00, 5 polling stations opened in Turkmenistan for Russian citizens residing or temporarily staying in the country to vote in the current Russian presidential elections. The news was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal."
The polling stations are located in five cities in Turkmenistan: Ashgabat, Turkmenabat, Mary, Dashoguz, and Turkmenbashi. At the Department of Education, Science, and Culture of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ashgabat, the Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ivan Volynkin, addressed journalists. He congratulated all Russian citizens on the elections and emphasized that all polling stations in Turkmenistan opened on time and are operating without violations.
Voting at the polling stations in Turkmenistan will continue until 20:00 local time.
