Cultural Event in Yerevan Celebrates Turkmen Poet Mahdumkuli Fragi's 300th Birthday

A concert featuring artists and cultural figures from Turkmenistan was held in Yerevan to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Turkmen poet and thinker Mahdumkuli Fragi. The event took place at the A. Babajanyan Concert Hall on March 12 of this year. Among the audience were representatives of the scientific intelligentsia, employees of accredited diplomatic missions in Yerevan, and representatives of international organizations. The opening remarks were delivered by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia, M. Ayazov, and A. Martirosyan, the Deputy Minister of Science, Culture, Education, and Sports of Armenia.

During the concert, the string quartet "Camerata Ashkhabad" performed works by renowned classical composers, as well as national Turkmen melodies and compositions by Nury Halmammedov, Veli Mukhatov, and many other well-known composers. The event served as a platform for cultural exchange and appreciation of Turkmenistan's rich artistic heritage, fostering goodwill and understanding between the two nations. The celebration of Mahdumkuli Fragi's legacy through music and art further strengthened the cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Armenia, promoting mutual respect and collaboration in the field of arts and culture.
