This holiday is included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO based on a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly. Nowruz symbolizes the arrival of spring, the awakening of nature, and is associated with the revival, prosperity, and renewal of life.
On the occasion of the National holiday, the country is hosting celebratory events, exhibitions, and concerts, which contribute to strengthening international cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov addressed the Turkmen people with a congratulatory message, wishing his compatriots unity, peace, inspiration, and happiness.
