A round table dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen literary classic Mahtumkuli Fragi was held at MGIMO on March 21st. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Moscow in collaboration with Turkmen students studying at MGIMO. Participants included the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation E. Aidogdyev, the Vice-Rector of MGIMO for Youth Policy, Social Work, and International Relations S. Surovtsev, as well as scholars, teachers, and students of the educational institution.
Speakers highlighted the role of Mahtumkuli Fragi's creativity in instilling patriotism, humanism, and peace in the younger generation. The meeting featured speeches by Ambassador E. Aidogdyev and MGIMO Rector A. Torkunov. An exhibition of decorative and applied art, paintings, books, and photographs titled "The Country Mahtumkuli Dreamed Of" was displayed in the MGIMO atrium.
