The film production unit of "Turkmenfilm" named after Oguzkhan will be shooting a movie about the Turkmen poet Mahtumkuli Fragi in India. This exciting news was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".
From April 7 to 14, the filming crew will be working in locations associated with the Turkmen and poets Mahtumkuli and Bayram-khan, the guardian and mentor of Akbar, the ruler of the Great Mughal Empire. One of the shooting locations will be the Turkmen Gate in New Delhi, built in the 17th century in honor of Turkmen warriors.
The movie will feature scenes filmed at the National Library of India, as well as interviews with Indian researchers studying the creative legacy of Mahtumkuli Fragi. This film will be part of a series of documentary films shot in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and the Astrakhan region of Russia to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Mahtumkuli Fragi's birth.
