Monument to Tajik Poet to Be Installed in Ashgabat Cultural Park Complex

A monument to the Tajik poet Said Nasafi Mirobid will be installed in the new Cultural Park Complex in Ashgabat. This decision was announced during the official two-day visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to Tajikistan, where he informed the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, about the decision to erect the monument in the Turkmen capital.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan revealed that the Cultural Park Complex Mahmutkuli Fragi is currently under construction in the south of Ashgabat. The complex will feature monuments to prominent foreign writers and poets, including the Tajik medieval poet Said Nasafi Mirobid.

This monument will serve as a symbol of the historical friendship between the peoples of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The construction of the park and the installation of the monuments are dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Mahmutkuli Fragi.
