Tourist Train Arrives in Ashgabat Along the Great Silk Road Route

A tourist train has arrived in Ashgabat, following the route of the Great Silk Road, as reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".

Thirty-nine tourists from nine countries, including Russia, Italy, and the UK, embarked on this exciting journey. The tourist train started in Kazakhstan, passed through Uzbekistan, and has now crossed the border at the Farab checkpoint into Turkmenistan. Over the next 10 days, the train will travel through Mary, Ashgabat, and Dashoguz, where travelers will have the opportunity to explore the rich culture of the Turkmen people.

The trip includes a visit to the Ichoguz railway station, where tourists will witness the famous burning natural gas crater known as the "Gates of Hell".

Additionally, visits are planned to Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque, the State Circus for a performance by the horse group "Galkynysh", the Independence Monument, the Neutrality Monument, the "10 Years of Independence" Park, the Wedding Palace "Bagt Kosgi", and the Carpet Museum.
