In March 2024, the Turkmenistan swimming team will travel to Armenia to take part in training sessions in the city of Tsaghkadzor. The agreement for the Turkmen team to participate in the training camp in Armenia was reached during a meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia, Mukhammetgeldi Ayazov, and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational, and sports fields were discussed. The parties agreed to improve the contractual and legal framework in the specified areas of cooperation. Additionally, from April 15 to 20, an International Hockey Tournament will take place in Ashgabat with the participation of Armenian hockey players.
