Uzbekistan Open 2024: Turkmen Athletes Shine at International Karate Tournament
The first international karate tournament (WKF) "Uzbekistan Open 2024" has concluded in Uzbekistan, with Turkmen athletes clinching 23 medals of various distinctions. The news was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
A total of 293 athletes from Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan participated in the tournament. Turkmenistan was represented by 74 athletes, 7 coaches, and 10 referees. The Turkmen national team secured the third spot in the medal tally among 13 teams, with 5 gold, 5 silver, and 13 bronze medals.
The gold medalists included A. Esenova, G. Amandurdyev, N. Asadova, D. Nazmyradov, and O. Tachdurdyeva. Silver medals were won by I. Annaorazov, B. Velieva, D. Ovezmyradov, and R. Atadzhanov.
The bronze medalists comprised of D. Saryev, R. Rukhanov, S. Djumanov, M. Gulamanova, M. Annaev, G. Gurbannazarov, S. Orazgeldiyev, A. Karimova, A. Seyitgulyev, B. Bayryev, D. Satlykgulyev, M. Bayramgeldiyeva, and S. Rozibaeva.
