After the 9th Central Asia Karate WKF Championship in Samarkand, Turkmen athletes proudly secured a total of 33 medals of various distinctions. The news was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."
In the span of the three-day tournament, Turkmen karate fighters achieved an impressive tally of 6 gold, 7 silver, and 20 bronze medals. Overall, in the medal standings, the Turkmen national team clinched the third spot, yielding only to the teams of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
On the final day of the competition, Turkmen athletes excelled, adding 12 more medals to their collection. Among the standout performers of the day were I. Annaorazov and M. Annaev, who secured the gold medals. S. Rozibaeva and R. Garataev were awarded the silver medals, while A. Seiyitgulyev, B. Pashyev, E. Agabalayev, G. Garamammedov, G. Novruzov, and A. Karimova claimed the bronze medals.
