In Antalya, Turkey, the three-day judo tournament "Antalya Grand Slam 2024" took place, with the participation of the Turkmen national team. The tournament gathered 628 athletes from around the world, competing for 14 sets of medals in 7 women's and 7 men's weight categories. Turkmenistan was represented by 8 judokas - 5 men and 3 women.
Turkmen judoka Maisa Pardaeva won the bronze medal in the under 57 kg weight category. In this weight category, 44 athletes from 33 countries competed for the medals. Maisa achieved 5 victories on her way to the bronze medal, ranking second among Turkmen athletes and the first among women to win a medal at the prestigious Grand Slam competition. The athletes earn points for participating in the Olympic Games during the tournament.
