The capital hotel "Sport" hosted a media forum dedicated to the upcoming international hockey tournament starting on April 15 in Ashgabat. The event was attended by officials from relevant departments of Turkmenistan, the country's hockey federations, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, team representatives, and the media, as reported by TDH.
Participants emphasized the special attention given to the preparation for the hockey tournament. The State Committee for Sports and the Hockey Federation of Turkmenistan conducted significant and comprehensive preparations. The Sports Complex for winter sports, where the tournament matches will take place, has been equipped with all the necessary facilities for athletes, competition participants, guests, and fans.
Additionally, an extensive cultural program has been approved, including visits to the country's museums, historical sites, the International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex, Olympic Village sports complexes, shopping malls, and a tour of the landmarks of the "smart" city of Arkadag.
One of the key elements of the tournament program is international seminars for coaches and referees. Live broadcasts of the tournament matches will be available on Türkmenistan Sport and Ýaşlyk TV channels.
It is worth noting that the tournament will feature club teams from Bahrain, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Russia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The representative from the Turkmen side will be "Galkan," an eight-time national champion.
