Today in Ashgabat, a festive opening ceremony of the International Ice Hockey Tournament took place at the Ice Arena of the Sport Complex, as reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age".
During the official part of the opening ceremony, the State flags of the participating countries were brought onto the arena. A total of 10 teams from different countries will participate in the tournament. Following the welcoming speech by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdymukhamedov, the tournament was officially declared open.
After the official proceedings, a musical and theatrical performance was held featuring artists, cultural performers, and young athletes from sports schools. The celebration concluded with the song "Gahryman Arkadagym, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdarym".
