Three Owners of My-Cars Auto Salon in Tashkent Sentenced for Fraud

The Shaykhantakhur District Criminal Court in Tashkent has issued a verdict against three owners of the My-Cars auto salon in Tashkent who fraudulently appropriated a large sum of money from buyers. The information was reported by UzA.

The defendants opened the My-Cars auto salon on Alisher Navoi Street in the capital. From January 16, 2022, to August 2, 2023, they promised buyers to deliver cars within three months.

The salon owners claimed to have a contract with GM Uzbekistan (now UzAuto Motors). As a result, they received amounts ranging from 40 million to 200 million sums from 74 individuals, totaling 6.15 billion sums.

The court found the accused guilty under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan and sentenced them to 8-9 years of imprisonment.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, the company My-Cars was registered in Tashkent on April 13, 2022, with the main activity being retail trade in automobiles. Rustambek Sukhrobov is listed as the founder and director.
