The Anti-Corruption Agency announced the results of the Transparency Index for 2023, categorizing organizations into green, yellow, and red based on their scores. This year, 31 government bodies ranked in the green zone, 43 in yellow, and 29 in red.

The highest transparency score was achieved by the Statistics Agency under the President, followed by various other institutions. On the other hand, organizations like "Uzbektelecom" and "Poytaxt Bank" scored the lowest.

The number of government bodies in the green category increased by 13% compared to the previous year. Notably, organizations in the red category from 2022 showed significant improvement in their scores in 2023.

The Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Akmal Burkhanov, highlighted the positive results in enhancing transparency and digitalizing assessment processes in Uzbekistan. Several measures have been taken to improve transparency, such as expanding the list of socially significant data to be disclosed and addressing violations in government procurement.

The Anti-Corruption Agency plans to promote successful transparency practices, provide support to organizations in the yellow category, and recommend disciplinary actions for those in the red category. The information from these organizations will be reviewed in government meetings to address shortcomings and plan corrective actions.
